Former USA Women’s National Soccer Team Player Joy Fawcett Joins Pure Game as a Part-Time Field Champion!

Joy Fawcett, former USA Women’s National Soccer Team player has been involved with Pure Game for over a year. She came onboard to help with our first annual fundraiser, The FOOTY-GOLF Classic, and has become more and more involved with our programs.

After the FOOTY-GOLF Classic, Joy volunteered as a Field Champion where she was able to mentor children and contribute to the impact of Pure Game’s character education & leadership programs. Now, Joy runs Pure Game In-School programs on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

In the photo above, Joy talks to the kids at Lawrence Elementary School about working hard to accomplish their dreams. Although Joy is renowned for her athleticism and soccer skills, she knows the importance of Pure Game’s programs lies in the messages and that soccer is a catalyst to help teach important life skills.

Having Joy on board with her soccer background is amazing. To think that she has played at the highest level possible, with some of the best players in the world, and now she is kicking the ball around with inner city kids is great. The real cool part is seeing the joy and excitement on her face as she engages these children, priceless!” –Tony Everett, Pure Game Founder.

We are thrilled to have Joy on our team and would love to have more champions – whether on or off the field. We have many opportunities to get involved and invite you to be a part of a cause that transforms lives on a daily basis.

If you would like to get involved with Pure Game, fill out this form or to attend a Field Tour. You can also sponsor a child on a monthly basis for as little as $10 per month. Whatever your interest, we’d love to hear from you!
