PureGame Brings the Fun to the Boys and Girls Club

PureGame is excited to partner with the Boys and Girls Club, bringing the fun to four of its locations, including Santa Ana, Costa Mesa, Newport Beach, and Irvine. The sessions implement PureGame’s S.T.A.R. (Stop, Think, Act, Reflect) Program model, a decision-making process for responsible and moral thinking. This process teaches children concepts, skills and behavior of good character, core values, and personal responsibility.

Pure Game is currently running safe, socially distanced programs at these locations with small group numbers keeping everyone safe and distanced. We are also incorporating our Social and Emotional Learning curriculum with our fun and interactive games.

The programs have been running successfully and the kids have enjoyed having social interaction with other kids and playing the games. Games included in the curriculum are Rock Paper, Scissors, I love my neighbor, as well as soccer drills.

At the end of the session, the Boys and Girls Club staff join the students as we create games to have staff go up against students in a friendly competition, and so far, everyone has been enjoying themselves.

It has been great running in person sessions once again and seeing students having fun.
