With parents aching to get their kids off the couch and onto a playing field, PureGame came to the rescue as we hosted our first of two youth camps last Saturday at Saddleback Church – Rancho Capistrano.
The camp, led by Coach Octavio and Coach Danny, held in two separate groups, to help maintain safe social distance, hosted a total of 15 participants. After a brief, but fun, warm-up session, students were then immersed into a set of activities that not only would get their heart pumping, but also exposed to our Social-Emotional Learning curriculum.
At the end of the camp, the participants received PureGame’s signature Encouragement Ball that each participant’s parent/guardian helped create by writing words of wisdom or encouragement wherever possible around the ball.
Included in the camp was a quiet zone, as well as therapy dogs for those participants in need of them. Participants were also invited to enjoy light snacks that would help them keep going strong throughout their session.
The fun is not over yet! PureGame is set to host another session at Saddleback on Saturday, June 12. Click here to register or email our Development Director Cristina Velasquez at [email protected]
