Mentoring for Success

Providing positive role models who make strong connections to help kids become leaders

Life Beyond School

PureGame teens are looking for something that prepares them for life beyond school. Our life skills programming helps with this transition and has also created a new staffing source. Working with these older teens, we offer them a process to join the PureGame team.

Because these youth are young, dynamic, and “locally grown,” they understand the culture and community. This wisdom gives them an edge when delivering the message of change we provide.

Our Mentoring for Success program works with youth through our crawl, walk, run training system. The first four weeks are spent shadowing our staff on the fields at local schools. This is followed by an induction training.

A second four week period is spent shadowing with the added responsibility of working with kids and operating aspects of the program. This is once again followed by curriculum and game training.

The final four weeks is spent operating programs under the supervision of our Senior Mentoring staff. Once this stage is complete these Junior Field Champions we take a final field assessment.

The final stage is an onboarding graduation for those who want to remain as a PureGame Field Champion. These special young men and women become our newest staff members and future champions in their neighborhoods.

Creating Future Success

For those who choose not to stay on board as Field Champions, they will have learned vital skills that will sill serve them well in college and beyond. PureGame has several who have gone through the program to be one of the first in their family to go onto graduate college.
