Celebrating 15 Years of PureGame

Dear Friends,

As I step down from my role as the founder of PureGame, I find myself enveloped in a sea of emotions. These 15 years have been nothing short of a remarkable journey, punctuated with milestones of joy, challenges that tested our resolve, and countless stories of transformation.

I vividly remember the early days, especially my very first school program. As I set up the field, a young kid approached me, his curiosity piqued by the unusual scene. When I shared what I was doing, his nod of approval was the first of many affirmations that we were onto something special.

Our journey hasn't been without its challenges. I recall the heartache of meeting kids I had worked with on the PureGame fields in schools in juvenile hall classrooms. This is a stark reminder of their hurdles. In these moments, our mission felt more vital than ever – to play a game and ignite a spark of change.

But, with every challenge came triumphant stories of success. The most heartwarming of these are the kids who came full circle – from participating in PureGame to joining our team. Their journeys are testaments to the power of belief, perseverance, and the transformative impact of our program.

I am immensely grateful to our amazing partners, funders, staff members, and every single child who has been a part of this incredible journey. Your support, belief, and participation have been the lifeblood of PureGame. We've created a legacy of change, growth, and empowerment.

As I pass the baton, I am filled with immense pride and optimism for the future of PureGame. Our foundation is strong, and I am confident that the impact we've started will continue to ripple through generations.
